FACTOID: Massachusetts’s health care program, which is the basis for our current Affordable Care Act, is in its 6th year of existence and remains widely popular in that state. 98% of the state’s residents have health care coverage while elsewhere the number of non-covered citizens has drastically risen. The governor of MA admits some issues need resolved but that much progress has occurred and the initial problems are being overcome. The consistency of the law’s popularity has been supported by frequent polls taken by the Boston Globe and no significant efforts have been made to repeal the law.
