Many of you are aware of Jungle Jim’s International Market north of Cincinnati. It’s a huge store filled with massive selections of foods and beverages from all over the world. Going there is an event or a food field trip. Well, the good news for people who live closer to the east side of Cincinnati rather than the north, Jungle Jim’s, during the summer of 2012, will be opening a second store in the East Gate Mall area of Clermont County. No specific date has been announced.
Great news! Now my southern Ohio shopping will be complete – JR’s when we visit my folks in Greenfield, Jungle Jim’s when we visit Dana’s mom in Georgetown! I surely do miss Jungle Jim’s…. started shopping there when it was mainly a banana stand.
Sally, I’m surprised you don’t have a dozen places like Jungle Jim’s in your area since it has a much greater ethnic flavor than Southern Ohio.
I have only been there once and would love to go back. Can’t wait for the new one to open. It is so interesting to see all the exotic things that is there.
Good news for me..or bad, depends on the perspective. I spend too much money when I go there! lol I always hit my favorite sections, the olive bar, the cheese, the deli, the bakery, and the produce! Last time I tried goat cheese for the first time, I loved it! I always get a nice piece of blue also as it’s one of our favorites. I usually come away with a new assortment of vinegars and mustards too. I love trying new ones!
