  1. In traveling around to at least a zillion antique shops and malls with the boss over the years, I always told the ladies-in-waiting that I had a vision problem: I couldn’t see clothes, dishes, or furniture. Made my shopping experiences singularly limited.

Looking at all the clothing shops in malls, and the stunning amount and assortment in any thrift shop, I’ve come to the conclusion that there’s enough fabric goods in this country to give every man, woman, and child at least a dump truck full. In the meantime, I’m still looking for that ’59 flametop Les Paul for $50.
