FACTOID: Way too many Americans bitch about politics while not playing even the simplest role in the system, voting. In 2008, a year of record turnout, only 57% of the eligible voters in the nation got off their sofas and voted. In off-year elections the percentage is closer to 30%. The reality of this is, politicians do what they want because they know the people aren’t going to do anything about it. Even something as simple as casting a vote.
